So, here are Loki and Lincoln digitally inked and toned for postcard-sized prints for Mid-Ohio Con. I’m going to finish the rest, compile the mini-book and add fun fictional scientific text! I’m trying to think of a title. An idea I have is “Who You Know: Figurus Animalis” or something faux-scientific like that. Ideas?
So, Loki and Lincoln got a couple of edits: I gave Loki a jester cap and Lincoln got his face back, heehee. Also, now they have companions! Queen Cleopatra as a snake, Paul Bunyan as his favorite giant blue ox, Thomas Edison the firefly butting heads with Nikola Tesla the electric eel, and the Wright Brothers as a pair of sphinxes (brownie points if you catch the pun in the image!). Let me know what you think! I plan on turning the sketches into a mini book, with some tidbits of information about the “species”. I will gladly take suggestions!
Norse god Odin the Sleipnir-Taur, Norse trickster god Loki the Coyote, and President Abraham Lincoln the Giraffe! I’m wondering if I should go with black and white sketches or loose color for prints. What would YOU guys like to see? What would you buy? :D Odin and Loki wear Viking clothing and hair details I referenced from photos of SCA members and other online sources. |
