Look, ma, I’m adding detail! Feedback on how the rendering is going would be super-fantastic. I sometimes have a habit of muddying digital color rendering, trying to avoid it as much as I can.

I think the shadow areas on the dress need adjusted based upon the light source on her flesh. The inside folds of the dress toward her centerline would be lit, while the dress directly below her right hand, facing and closer to the viewer would fall into shadow. The inside of her right arm is lit, but the folds of the dress facing the same light source below it are in shadow.
It is coming along beautifully. I think it’s great that you show the process. It says a lot about your ability and confidence. Very nicely done.
Thank you! That’s really helpful.
It’s a work in progress and there are usually secondary or reflective light sources, of course. Lighting has always been tricky for me without a hard direct source. You’re a far better illustrator than I. The work is great. Take my comments for what they’re worth.
Making lighting up can be just as hard as replicating it from life. I may set up some drapery and light it, or look for references. I knew I was going to be challenged by coloring the dress, but I’m not going to run away from it, hehe.
I cannot image you running away from a challenge. I know your finished work will be exceptional. Have fun with it.
Thank you for the continued encouragement! :)
