The other day I scanned a caricature of myself from my current Moleskine sketchbook solely for the purposes of practicing my digital painting and rendering. I focused a lot on the face for this part of the work in progress, mostly because I really enjoy rendering faces! As a note, it’s not meant to be photorealistic, but I did use a mirror while painting to judge shapes and spatial issues. Also, it lost some of the red/magenta when uploaded to the web.
